Engr. Abisola Kamson is a civil Engineer, she holds an Msc in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Bsc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of South Florida where she was awarded the Dean’s List of Superior Academic Achievement. She is also a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and a Certified Fundamental Engineer in the State of Florida.
Abisola is a trained Civil Engineer with a focus on Transportation Engineering and worked for one of the top twenty Transportation Engineering Firms in the United States – Kimley Horn and Associates as a Transportation Associate on various large scale transportation projects specifically the Southside and Atlantic Boulevard Interchange project for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
She worked as a Development Consultant within the State of Georgia in advising on the suitability of proposed retail and residential developments in line with development guidelines for various municipalities. In addition, she worked on recommendations for maintaining adequate Levels of Services within development areas, and also implemented strategies to mitigate the developments impacts on the road network including roadway signal optimization.
She also served as a Specialist with the Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) where she provided transactional support on the implementation and delivery of a tripartite rail project between two State Governments and the Federal Government. Leveraging on experience gained, she was recruited as an Investment Analyst for Asset Resource Management (ARM) to provide transactional support for the planning and financing of Public-Private Partnership initiatives with Lagos State Government.
In 2009, she joined the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Lagos State Government focusing on projects within the Core Infrastructure Sectors .She was part of the pioneering team and has driven projects in the areas of Roads-Bridges and Highways, Transportation, Agriculture, Wastewater, Portable Water, Power amongst others
Engr. Abisola Kamson presently is the Managing Director, Lagos State Waterways Authority.
